This year marked the 400 year anniversary of the arrival of the Mayflower. Last year I submitted my application under John Alden to become a member of the society. During the summer of 2020, right before the anniversary my application was approved. When I initially submitted the application it didn't occur to me that it was the 400th anniversary coming up. I was very happy to have my application approved even during the COVID pandemic. My 7x great-grandmother was a woman named Thankful Howes. Through her I am able to trace back to 5 different Mayflower passengers: John Alden and his wife Priscilla, John Howland and his wife Elizabeth as well as William Brewster. I am now working on supplements for the other passengers.
